Riverside
This is a quilt I made using my quilt pattern, Eastern Shore. I took a lot of photos of this quilt lying on the rocks –in the shade– but this one spoke to me. It looks like it’s a flower growing or a butterfly chrysalis.
The photo location is the Dry Rocks area near Belle Isle on the James River in Richmond, Virginia (not the Eastern Shore)

This is Retro Threads. It was the last project I made for the Savor Each Stitch Book Bee. The chapter was Texture. I finished it in January so that I could give it to our guild for the Modern Panorama exhibit at Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in February.
I quilted it just enough. Now I’m adding More hand quilting. It lays on the couch, and whenever the mood strikes, I quilt some More.
The 100-Day Project is an Instagram series. I’m participating this year. It’s a creative exercise. Many folks post sketches or paintings. I’ve seen quilt designers posting quilt designs.
I thought it was a good idea, but I was anxious about committing to creativity every day for three months. Instead I committed to working on my works in progress.
I’m going to hand quilt my Collection quilt and finish a baby quilt.
