WALKING and standing at QuiltCon should be an Olympic sport. I walked so much I got blisters on the heels of my feet. I can’t remember the last time I had a foot blister.
My hotel was a one-mile walk to the Pasadena Convention Center, much longer than I was expecting. I wore supportive and comfortable shoes. But it wasn’t enough.
At the end of Thursday, the first official day, my feet needed attention. I filled my hotel ice bucket with ice and poured the ice in the bathtub. Then ran cold water.
Such relief. I cannot describe it. Now I know why athletes sit in ice baths.
In honor of the QuiltCon Ice Bucket Challenge, I’m donating to the ALS Association. If your feet hurt from QuiltCon, consider making a donation.
I’m back at my sedentary job, and my feet are resting until next time.
Happy Feet,
Wanda
Ooo! Your poor, poor feet.I hope the blisters didn’t stop you seeing all you wanted to view at QuiltCon.

My hotel was closer, but I did’t have any trouble racking up many steps everyday! Great so see you Wanda!

Yes, I agree that almost any big show is a challenge to the feet and the pocketbook! But so worth it 😀
